Really great choices, guys! No wonder we RP so well together.

I'll add some new picks, though Beverly Hills Ninja (really anything with Farley or Sandler), or Happy Gilmore are all time favorites in my all time favorite genre as well. Alien(s)/(III)/(resurrection), too, all kick ass.

Comedy (favorite genre first): Even between the aforementioned and too many other to list. A few stand out favorites include Mystery Men, Zoolander, Kevin Smith's New Jersey Chronicles (e.g. Mallrats) Click, Big Daddy, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Swingers, Step Brothers, 50 First Dates, Master of Disguise, Ace Ventura (1&2), Yes Man, Ghost Town, and all of Eddie Izzard's stand-up comedy.

Action: Taxi Driver (SEE IT IF YOU HAVEN'T--it offers a glimpse into one of your DM's minds), Heat (because it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that De Niro is cooler than Pacino), Big Trouble in Little China, The Salton Sea, Enter the Dragon (anything with Bruce Lee--the original Chuck Norris), Van Hesling (for monster effects), X-Men series (despite the fact that they butchered the comics story line), Diehard, (despite the fact that Willis is a Republican S***-head), 28 Days Later, Batman (the first 2 with Keaton, and both with Bale), and many more...

Drama: SLC Punk, Sling Blade, Goodfellas, Mad Dog and Glorie (though it's at least 1/2 comedy), The Deer Hunter, Casino, Primal Fear, etc.

Horror: (Caveat: I mainly watch horror for the humor factor) The "Scream" movies, I Know What you Did Last Summer (and "I Still...."), Jeepers Creepers (cause it's Lovecraftian and it has the "Mac" guy in it), Call of Cthulhu, The Thing (OMG Kurt Russel and Lovecraftian Horror--does it get any better than this?!?!)

Slipstream/ Other: Fight Club, Lord of the Rings (which even as a lifelong Tolkien fan, I accept as excellent adaptations of the Professor's work), Star Wars (mainly the first chronologically/ second numerically 3, and not just cause I'm old), Sin City.

Watching more Kurt Russell films will offer a glimpse into the mind of -this- DM. You may even begin to find a certain NPC who "looks like he should be in possession of an eye patch" strangely familiar... Wink

I would have to say that I love most of those movies you guys posted, there are a few more I would have to post ofter some though, and seeing your posts:

Fight Club, I dont know how I forgot it, I love that movie. Also, I really like the first 2 resident evil movies, 3rd was good, but I felt it was too un-resident evil, if it had been a stand alone movie or somthing, I would of liked it more.

Also, there are a few mor comedies I have to add: Employee of the Month, Lets go to Prison, Role Models. I Love You Man, 40-year Old Virgin. if you have not seen any of them(mainly Employee of the month, lets go to prison) you are mssing out
! Very Happy
I know this is movie thread, but I will post some of my fav. comedians(hey, there specials are like movies, lol):Danial Tosh(he has my sense of humor allmost exact), Mike Bibiglia(spelled wrong, i know it), Bo Burnam(look on youtube to see him) Demitri Martin(again, my sense of humor, man he is funny), Chris Tidus(I love his specials on comedy centra;). there are more, but I cant remember them right now, lol.

and now a random elephant elephant

Fight Club - yes!

Willow
The Princess Bride
Tron
Newsies
Bugsy Malone
The Dark Crystal
The Labyrinth - These are all must see classics!

As far as comedy goes:
Happy Madison stuff, all the Chris Farley stuff, David Spade's stuff, most of Will Farrell's movies, all of Ben Stiller's comedies, anything with Ricky Gervais in it. Jack Black is very funny. I love Jason Lee too, even though it's T.V. I have to put My Name is Earl. The Hudsucker Proxy, The Big Lebowski, The Ladykillers. Spinal Tap and the other Christopher Guest films (e.g. Best in Show, A Mighty Wind), Better off Dead, Joe vs. the Volcano, One Crazy Summer, Grosse Point Blank...

Not Comedy:
Mostly anything DeNiro (with a few exceptions), The Usual Suspects, Primal Fear, The Machinist, American History X (brutal but good), Elizabeth, Sean Penn is very good and most of his movies are incredibly depressing, so much so, that I'm having trouble remembering which one is which right now, Big Fish, Fargo, The Matrix (first one ONLY), Alien movies (mainly the original trilogy), The Thing, Escape from New York and L.A. (Kurt Russell and Bruce Campbell in the same room?! That sort of thing only happens in video games!), I enjoyed ConAir for whatever reason, Edward Scissorhands, Brainscan (ok this could go in comedy)...

Comedians:
Eddie Izzard, Ricky Gervais, Eddie Murphy, Dana Carvey, Chris Rock, and Stephen Colbert (he's not stand-up but he still counts).

I have about a million more but I think you get the idea. tongue
